Assessment and offer process for the Early Achievers' Program (EAP)
How your application is assessed
Your community involvement, as specified on your EAP application, will be assessed based on:
- Nature of experience – what was your exact involvement?
- Frequency – how often did you participate in this activity?
- Duration of experience – over what period of time were you involved in this activity ?
- Verification – an officer from the community organisation you have nominated will be required to verify your statement of community involvement.
While EAP has been developed to look at more than just a score, we must also consider academic aptitude as a part of the overall assessment. This will be assessed based on:
- Verification – for Year 12 applicants. Your school Principal will be asked to provide advice about your academic aptitude.
- Evidence of previous study/prior learning –for non-school leaver applicants. You will need to provide evidence of your highest educational qualification, either secondary school, postsecondary including TAFE or tertiary studies.
If your EAP application is successful
If your EAP application is successful you will be advised by 28 November via your email address, as provided on your EAP application. This means you will be guaranteed an offer in the course identified on your EAP application through the relevant Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC, UAC or VTAC), provided you meet the following requirements:
- The ACU course identified on your EAP application is the highest eligible preference on your TAC application at the time of the offer.
- You have satisfied prerequisite requirements for the course.
- You have achieved an ATAR/OP (or equivalent rank) not lower than the University's minimum eligibility score.
Note: Attainment of the minimum eligibility score does not include any bonus points allocated under the accessACU scheme and/or the Elite Athlete Program.
