Geographic Region Bonus
Applicants who live in areas that are local or have particular relevance to the campus at which they wish to study will be allocated bonus entry points. Applicants to the Ballarat Campus do not need a geographic bonus as they will receive an already existing equivalent bonus on the basis of its regional/rural status.
Please see the list of postcodes that relate to each campus:
- Brisbane (McAuley at Banyo)
- Sydney, including North Sydney (MacKillop) and Strathfield (Mount Saint Mary)
- Canberra (Signadou)
- Ballarat (Aquinas)
- Melbourne (St Patrick's)
Special Access Scheme
This scheme takes into account social or educational disadvantage due to circumstances beyond the applicant's control.
UAC, QTAC and VTAC currently already operate schemes which provide special consideration based on educational disadvantage. Applicants who have been educationally disadvantaged during their Year 11 and 12 studies need to also apply for consideration through the relevant TAC’s special access scheme. ACU National will then automatically allocate bonus points to applicants through these schemes.- Queensland (QTAC)- Special Consideration of Educational Disadvantage (SCD)
- New South Wales & the Australian Capital Territory (UAC)- Educational Access Scheme (EAS)
- Victoria (VTAC)- Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS)
How to apply
Simply include an ACU National course as a preference on your application through the relevant Tertiary Admissions Centre (TAC).
For consideration for the Special Access Scheme, you must also submit an application through the relevant TAC scheme (e.g. SCD, EAS or SEAS).
ACU National will automatically add the bonus points to your original entry score/rank (ATAR/ENTER/OP) based on the above criteria. Doing this will give you a new selection score/rank which will be used in the allocation of offer process.
