Office of Planning and Strategic Management
The Office of Planning and Strategic Management was established in January 2009 to drive a culture of planning and quality throughout the University by developing and implementing sustainable planning, review and reporting frameworks which:
- Focus the University on the achievement of strategic goals aimed at providing a quality experience for students in accordance with the University's Mission and Strategic Plan 2012-2014;
- Embed organisational performance and stakeholder feedback analysis to assist in decision-making, continuous improvement and future planning;
- Ensure the University is equipped to meet Federal Government reporting and monitoring requirements.
At ACU, the Office of Planning and Strategic Management combines the expertise of Planning and Quality and Statistical Analysis and Surveys (SAAS) in the delivery of its service. Through the University's reporting mechanisms, the Office seeks to ensure achievement, quality and growth in line with the Strategic Plan.
Planning and Quality
The Planning and Quality team is responsible for the development, implementation and continual improvement of the University's planning, quality and risk systems.
Under the governance of the Planning, Quality and Risk Committee, the priorities include supporting the strategic planning and reporting process, business/market intelligence, internal Organisational Unit Reviews, external quality audits/evaluations (e.g. AUQA and TEQSA) and fully integrated risk management.
The overall aim is to assist the University with the achievement of its Mission and Vision through evidence-based decision-making and a strategic approach to planning, quality and risk.
Statistical Analysis and Surveys (SAAS)
The Statistical Analysis and Surveys (SAAS) team ensures the University complies to rules and procedures associated with accurate and complete reporting requirements to DEEWR. SAAS also collaborates with external agencies to conduct, collate, report and analyse student survey data (e.g. CEQ, AGS, AUSSE) as well as report and verify on any government, quasi government and external organisational reports.
