Mission And Identity In Church-Based Organisations
Being Catholic in an Australian context
Catholic agencies across all sectors (education, health and social services) face the common concern of how to be authentically Catholic within our Australian social and cultural context.
- How does our Australian social and cultural context shape both the Catholic identity and mission of our agencies?
- What is our common story as both Catholic and Australian?
- From where is our next generation of young Australian leaders coming?
- How do we engage with Australian politics and media?
This is the third in a series of colloquia dealing with issues of identity and mission of Catholic agencies. Building on the success of the previous colloquia it will explore our identity and mission as Catholic and Australian. Through a mix of keynote addresses and guided conversations it will offer the opportunity to explore our common experiences and learn from one another’s insights in a mutually supportive environment.
