Keynote Speakers
Archbishop John Michael Miller CSB
A highly respected figure in Catholic education, Archbishop Miller is the Vatican's administrator for Roman Catholic universities, faculties, schools and educational institutes worldwide. Prior to his appointment as the Secretary of the Congregation of Catholic Education, he was President of the University of St Thomas in Houston. He is also a member of the Congregation of Priests of Saint Basil, an international religious congregation of Roman Catholic priests whose charism is "education within the Church's mission of evangelization."

Mrs Oona Stannard
Oona is Chief Executive and Director for Catholic Education Service for England and Wales. Prior to joining the CES she was an HMI (Her Majesty’s Inspector) for ten years, working in all phases of education and inspecting Local Authorities. She headed a unit responsible for advising the Secretary of State on all statutory reorganisation proposals including those in the Voluntary Aided sector and those involving the setting up of new ‘faith schools’. As a member of an extensive network of Directors and leaders of Catholic education across the world, she was invited to review aspects of Catholic education for the Archdiocese of Sydney in 2004. She has enjoyed meeting with many Australian educationalists both in her travels across Australia and as visitors to the CES in London.

Dr Padraig Hogan
Padraig's main field of research is the philosophy of education and currently holds the position of Acting Head of the NUIM's Education Department. He is part of the core team of professionals and academics in Teaching and Learning for the Twenty First Century (TL21), a research and development project focused on building capabilities of teachers that enable development of innovative learning methods for students in the context of twenty first century educational environment.
Professor Patrick Duignan
As Director of the ACU's Flagship for Creative & Authentic Leadership, Patrick is noted for his distinguished record as author of national and international publications and research, consultant and presenter on effective management and leadership in public sector institutions, with a special focus on leadership in schools.
