Application Process
Applications for admission to a higher degree by research are administered by Research Services.
Admission Requirements
The admission requirements for higher degree by research courses are set out in the Handbook and Course Enrolment Guides.
How to apply - all students
- Identify your research interests and potential supervisors
- Prepare a research proposal which will outline the research question you wish to examine, a rationale for your choice and a brief review of the methodology you wish to use exploring the question. (approximately 300 500 words)
- Provide two referees. It is important that you choose people who are familiar with your academic ability and who can make informed comments about your potential for a higher degree by research. Your referees must complete a referee report.
If you are a domestic student, please submit an application form (MS Word 163KB) together with all required documentation to Research Services in your State.
If you are an international student, please visit the International website and complete the on-line application form. You should also check the University's English Proficiency Requirements under Postgraduate courses.
Scholarships
If you wish to apply for a scholarship, please visit our Scholarships page and complete a Postgraduate Scholarship Application form.
All degrees are available full-time and part-time (except for some scholarship recipients and international students).
