About submitting an abstract
To submit an abstract:
- Go to the online abstract submission form
- Login in with a user name and password of your choosing
- Follow the prompts
- An email will be sent to you automatically with your username and password. Please keep this handy as it allows you to log back in and make any changes to your abstract/papers whenever you wish
Author Instructions
We invite submission of abstracts for the 5th International Conference on Catholic Educational Leadership in 2010 on the Conference theme, Catholic Educational Leadership A Beacon of Hope: A Light for the Future.
Please follow the prompts to sign-up for an account and to submit document to be reviewed.
All intending presenters must submit an abstract of 200 words for approval by the Conference Committee by Saturday 31 October 2009. Acceptance will be based on clarity of presentation and relevance to one of the areas of the Conference theme.
Authors will be notified about acceptance by email no later than 30 November 2009.
Presenters have the option to submit papers for full refereeing AND for publication on the CD of the conference proceedings. You can note this on the abstracts manager site.

Refereeing Process
Completed papers or symposia submitted to the 5th International Catholic Educational Leadership Conference for optional full paper refereeing are forwarded to faculty members of the Centre for Creative and Authentic Leadership and other academics in the relevant field of study. The Director of the Centres office retains a list of suitable referees on file. All refereeing is independent with no referee informed as to the names of the author/s or other referees.
Scoring Criteria
Referees will score each abstract/paper based on the following criteria:
- Demonstration of national and/or international relevance to educational leadership (20%)
- Clarity of purpose/aims (20%)
- Originality and interest (20%)
- Significance of findings/issues discussed (20%)
- Guidelines for formatting and submitting an abstract have been followed (10%)
- Relevance to conference theme (10%)
Authors Notes
Please be aware that authors can submit a revised version of their paper in response to referee comments. Please use the username and password you created originally to do this.
All of your comments are to be directed through Abstract Manager under your account that you set up. Comments will go via the Abstract Coordinator
The refereeing of your abstract/paper leads to an "accept" or "reject" classification for this conference based on the combined referee decisions and will be emailed to you
Referees of papers or symposia will NOT be made known to the author(s)
