EXSC506 Cardio-Respiratory Analysis, Prescription and Rehabilitation

Teaching Organisation 24 hours of lectures and 24 hours of laboratory per semester.
This unit will review current medical and scientific knowledge of and understanding of cardio-respiratory disorders and diseases. An examination the mechanisms involved and the processes that lead to functional restoration, maintenance or adaptation forms a major focus of this unit. Methodological aspects of the clinical assessment of cardio-respiratory disorders and diseases will be discussed and demonstrated together with the principles of available exercise prescriptions and treatment therapies.
