Prerequisites EXSC285 Healthy Relationships for Young People
Teaching Organisation 24 hours of lectures and 12 hours of tutorials/practical per semester.
The unit provides students with the ability to understand and evaluate protective and risk factors as well as resilience in adolescence from a socio-cultural perspective of health. Students will examine and interpret health-behaviour theories and principles for harm minimisation strategies as applied to the young people. In addition, the unit will provide students with an appreciation of social justice, an understanding of equity and respect for the dignity of the human person.
