Prerequisites EXSC260 Introduction to Sport Management and EXSC261 Sport Policy Making and Planning
Teaching Organisation 24 hours of lectures and 12 hours of tutorials/practical per semester.
This unit introduces students to the concepts of marketing which are then applied to the commercial world of sport, leisure and physical activity. Some emphasis is placed on market analysis by focusing on the competitive environment, industry, and product life cycles, and human behaviour. Implications for the marketing mix and guidelines for international marketing provide a focus for adaptive strategies.
