EXSC241 Programming Resistance Training

Teaching Organisation 24 hours of lectures and 24 hours of tutorials/practical per semester.

This unit builds upon the basic scientific principles of strength and conditioning and focuses upon the different programming techniques that enable prescription of exercises across the lifespan. Strength and conditioning principles will be applied to sports performance enhancement as well as exercises for rehabilitation from injury. Students will be challenged to design a number of specific programs for different stages of the lifespan from childhood to old age by using scientific principles.
