EXSC150 HPE 1 - Aquatics and Athletics

Teaching Organisation 120 hours of focused learning consisting of lectures, workshops, activity experiences and school and community site visits.
This unit is designed to provide students with knowledge about aquatics and athletics activities and how they might be used to provide core learning experiences within a health and physical education curriculum. A developmental perspective is taken and reference is made to ways in which principles derived from current Exercise Science knowledge can be applied in order to evaluate the effectiveness of selected activities. These activities contribute both to the goals of educational programs and the achievement of physical education-related outcomes for a range of individual abilities and experience.
