This unit provides the basis for online study in the program. Participants establish the meaning of, scope and potential role of ICT, particularly in relation to online learning alternatives to traditional instruction. They reflect on the experience of undertaking web-based instruction and develop views on the role of the world-wide-web in teaching and learning situations.
