EDSS422 Humanities Curriculum and Teaching 1

This unit is designed for student teachers to develop an understanding of the way in which Humanities are taught and studied in years 7 to 10 in secondary schools. Student teachers will be introduced to methods for designing and implementing lessons and units of work and to methods of assessing and evaluating students’ learning. Learning and teaching strategies, including inquiry approaches to learning and the use of technology, which are appropriate for students with different abilities and which will develop their knowledge, skills, behaviours and values are an integral part of the unit.
