EDRE532 Educating for Inter-religious Awareness

This unit introduces students to the growing field of inter-religious education. It pays particular attention to key documents of the Catholic Church and subsequent teachings related to inter-religious relations as well as providing foundational knowledge in world religions, particularly Christianity, Judaism and Islam. It will explore and critique current teaching approaches which foster inter-religious education and examine its place within current developments of religious education nationally and internationally.
