EDLA612 Assessment and Curriculum Design in TESOL

In this unit students will develop understanding and skills which will enable them to recognise learner strategies at the phonological, grammatical and discourse levels and assess their language proficiency. The unit will also explore the link between learner needs analysis and curriculum design. The programming, assessment and evaluation cycle for language learning in the context of relevant syllabus documents and in a variety of settings such as mainstream school classrooms, New Arrival programs and courses in English for Special Purposes.
