Australian Catholic University annual review 2008
Building relationships
Thanking our donors
The achievements of the University have been due in significant part to the many donors and supporters who have honoured the University with their trust. This support has been focused on, and managed through, the Australian Catholic University Foundation.
Through the Foundation, donations are received to support:
- academic initiatives
- teaching and research projects
- community engagement activities
- student scholarships and bursaries
- capital development program and facilities.
ACU’s commitment to the development of partnerships with the community has been strengthened through the work of the fundraising and development team within the University Relations Directorate.
Graduate connections
The University’s Graduate Association offers graduates continuing opportunities for social contact and information about further education and employment.
This function is supported by staff and through facilities on the University’s website.
In 2008 the Association launched a newsletter to be emailed to Graduates three times a year.
External Relations
As a public Catholic university, ACU is committed to fostering its relationships with the Church and with government. In 2008, the University was honored with a number of ministerial visits.
New Partnerships
The University has developed a number of new academic partnerships and understandings with academic and industry bodies.
