University Partnerships
ACU is a Table A higher education provider, as defined by the Higher Education Support Act, making it subject to the Commonwealth's formal quality assurance processes as part of the requirements to receive government support.
It is a part of the Australian network of New Generation Universities (including several institutions which have achieved university status since 1989).
The new universities perceive themselves as adding genuine diversity to the university culture. They address directly the relationship of universities to a greater social and cultural orientation and to a much sharper focus on student learning and student needs.
The University is also a member of:
- Association of Commonwealth Universities
- International Federation of Catholic Universities
- Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities
- Australian Universities Community Engagement Alliance (AUCEA)
- International Council of the Universities of Saint Thomas Aquinas (ICUSTA)
- Research Australia alliance
- Committee for Economic Development of Australia (CEDA)
- Association for Tertiary Education Management (ATEM)
- Association of Southeast and East Asian Catholic Colleges and Universities
- Business / Higher Education Round Table (BHERT)
- Edmund Rice Business Ethics Initiative
- Sydney Catholic Business Network
ACU is accredited by the NSW Vocational Education and Training Accreditation Board.
The University also has extensive links with overseas institutions through its Faculties, Schools and Research Centres.
This international outreach strengthens the university's freedom of investigation by its vibrant academic community searching for the truth in every discipline.
