If your first language is not English you may need to satisfy ACU English language proficiency requirements. ACU provides a number of options to satisfy its English language proficiency requirements.
Students may:
- Achieve a satisfactory result in an IELTS or TOEFL examination.
- Successfully complete the ACU EAP program.
- Successfully complete an EAP program at any NEAS-accredited institution then achieve a satisfactory result in the ACU English Test.
- Complete a NEAS-accredited General English language program in Australia at Advanced level to qualify for admission to ACU’s 12 week English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course.
- Complete a NEAS-accredited General English language program in Australia at Upper Intermediate level to qualify for admission to ACU’s 24 week English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course.
- Complete a Diploma or Advanced Diploma (minimum of 12 months of full time study in duration) in Australia at an accredited RTO or TAFE or university.
The ACU English Test will run during International Orientation Week, as well as other times. Please see the ACU English Test web page for more information. For those students who have completed IELTS or TOFEL you will be unable to take the test within 3 months (from the test date) as your IELTS/TOFEL test results will still be valid.
