The 2014 Core Paris Program was such an amazing experience, one that I will always look back on with fond memories. It was something I didn’t really expect to happen to you as an undergraduate student – a semester long exchange always seemed out of reach financially so this program gave me the opportunity to fulfil a dream to study overseas.

Studying UNCC300 Understanding Self and Society  in intensive mode allowed longer class times for more discussions which were engaging and interactive. I had no idea what to expect out of this program but I got more than I ever thought I would get from the experience. The great intellectual conversations, the awesome friends, the culture, the French lessons and the long hot summer days were just a few highlights from the Core Paris.

The chance to be immersed in a culture is a rare one and I was so privileged that ACU gave me the chance to do that. This was my first time travelling internationally and it gave me such a desire for more overseas exploration. The Core program was a great first travel experience and has given me confidence to go further and farther in my travels.

The Institut Catholique de Paris (ICP) campus was fantastic and we were made to feel very welcome at both ICP and our St John’s University accommodation. The fantastic shared experiences allowed for us to forge great friendships - there were many summer nights in the park drinking red wine and late night walks searching for crepes.

I feel so appreciative of the life changing experience that ACU has given me. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to apply for the Core Paris Program. What a fantastic program it is!
