Australian Catholic University (ACU) has expanded its international network to Milan, signing a long-term student exchange and cooperation agreement with one of the largest private universities in Europe, the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (UCSC).

Professor Greg Craven, Vice-Chancellor at ACU, said the University was proud to partner with UCSU and looks forward to the opportunities the agreement provides for students, research and teaching.

“UCSC is a leading Catholic university with a wonderfully rich history and a very strong international agenda,” he said.

“I’m delighted that ACU and UCSC have established this partnership and I look forward to the bonds between our two institutions strengthening through student exchange, research and teaching collaboration.

"Australia is a young country so the exposure to culture and European civilisation is attractive for our students, especially on an educational platform.”

The agreement comes after six years of successful collaboration between ACU and USCU.

UCSC is Europe’s largest private university with more than 42,000 students and five campuses in Milan, Rome, Brescia, Piacenza and Cremona.

UCSC has a unique international and multicultural perspective, allowing students to take English-taught programs while studying in Italy.
