Can I apply for a position that is advertised for internal applicants only?
To be eligible to apply for internal-only positions you must be a current continuing, fixed-term or casual ACU staff member at the time of advertisement.


I'm an international applicant, am I eligible to apply?
You may be eligible to apply but you will need to speak to the contact person for the advertised position to discuss visa requirements for the role. For further information, please refer our information for international applicants.


How do I find out on the progress of my application?
You can check the progress of your application by logging in. To login, click on ‘Existing applicant login’ and enter your username and password.


Can I return to an incomplete application at a later date?
You can exit midway through an application by clicking the ‘Save draft and exit’ button. You will be able to log in at a later date and complete the application, making sure you haven't missed the closing date.


Can I update my personal details?
Yes, you can update your details by logging in and clicking the 'Update profile' link.


Are my personal details safe?
Yes, please refer to ACU’s Privacy Statement.


How does ACU select applicants?
Selection is on the basis of the applicant's merit in relation to the selection criteria. It is the policy of ACU to provide Equal Opportunity in employment for its staff.


Can I still apply after the closing date?
You must submit your application by the closing date stated in the advertisement. We will not normally accept an application after the closing date unless prior arrangements have been made.


Do I need to include details of referees in my application?
Yes, with your application you must include the names and contact details of three referees. Referees should be current or previous managers/supervisors, or instead someone who has a detailed knowledge of your attributes against the selection criteria.


When will I find out if my application has been successful?
If your application is successful then you will be contacted and notified that you have been short listed for interview. If you are not short-listed then you will be notified that your application has been unsuccessful.


How can I prepare for my interview?
To prepare, review the position description and selection criteria and prepare examples illustrating your ability to address the key requirements of the role. If you require any special arrangements, please notify us prior to attending your interview.
