Chatterbox Café is a weekly program for adults in the Strathfield Council local government area looking to improve their English language skills. The program is run on Friday mornings.
The program provides a friendly environment where participants are given the opportunity to build their social networks and improve their understanding of Australia and other cultures, while broadening their English language skills at the same time. This helps build their confidence in pursuing further studies and employment opportunities and engaging in other community-based initiatives.
Students will be engaging in conversation with program participants by contributing to whole group and small group activities/sessions and sharing stories. Activities will be targeted at building English language skills.
