Grant given to ACU careers adviser

Caroline Ryan, Careers Adviser at Australian Catholic University's (ACU) North Sydney Campus, with the support of Careers Development Manager, Mary Ward, was recently awarded a 2010 Federal Government Scholarship for Career Advisers.

An initiative of the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations, the $5000 scholarship is one of only eight granted to TAFE and university career advisers annually.

Caroline said the scholarship will allow her to complete further research studies for ACU's Careers Service in 2010.

"My research will look at graduate attributes in community and work-based learning experiences," she said. "It is hoped this research will contribute to an understanding of how to strengthen graduate employment skills for both local and international students."
