Meet the employer

Education students at the University’s Melbourne Campus (St Patrick’s) recently met with principles from 20 Catholic primary and secondary schools, as well as parish priests, at the 2009 Meet the Employer forum.

The event was a joint initiative by ACU and the Catholic Education Office, allowing students to develop their understanding of the recruitment process for teachers, and to improve future employment prospects.

Event organiser Liz Rimes said the day was a great success.

“The event was a great opportunity for networking and relationship building,” she said.“In the past, students have even gained employment from these forums.”
