University receives grant for online learning

In partnership with the University of New England, ACU has recently been awarded an Australian Learning and Teaching Council (ALTC) Competitive Grant of over $217,000, for a major project investigating the full costs and benefits to staff and students of e-learning.

The project will investigate the institution costs of online learning and the implications of e-learning for staff workloads.

Director of the Learning and Teaching Centre at ACU, Professor Yoni Ryan, is the project leader for Australian Catholic University.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Professor Gabrielle McMullen said: “I warmly congratulate Professor Ryan on her achievement and look forward to the benefits of the project for Australian Catholic University.”
