Meet the Employers

Graduate nurses from the Ballarat Campus (Aquinas) recently met with employers from seven rural and regional health services at the ‘Meet the Employer – Graduate Nurse Information afternoon’.

The event was a joint initiative of the School of Nursing and Midwifery and the Careers Development Service at ACU. 

Careers and Academic Skills Adviser and event organiser, Suzanne Dooley said the afternoon was a great success.

“The employers highlighted to students the high esteem in which Ballarat ACU Nursing graduates are held. The students were also challenged with new perspectives and new information about the graduate year,” said Ms Dooley.

Betty McGuinness, Assistant Head of the School of Nursing and Midwifery in Victoria, said the event was also an opportunity for networking and relationship building.

“These health care agencies are crucial to the success of our students during clinical placement. We are most appreciative of their attendance,” said Ms McGuinness.
