Lecturer wins medal

Dr Catherine Bell, a lecturer in Visual Arts, School of Arts & Sciences at the Melbourne Campus (St Patrick’s), was recently awarded the 2008 Mollie Holman Doctoral Medal for her thesis, “Liminal Gestures: ritualising the world through performance and lived experience.”

Dr Bell was nominated by the Faculty of Art and Design for the award, which was first established in 1998 to recognise excellence in postgraduate research.

The medal was named in honour of Professor Mollie Holman, who has made a long and distinguished contribution to the University and postgraduate education.
