Getting Started

GETTING STARTED

To accept your offer, you must follow the Steps to Enrol which will guide you through the requirements to successfully complete the enrolment process.

When you have completed the enrolment process, complete the following checks:

Check Your Enrolment

Ensure your enrolment details on Student Connect are correct. (Go to My Enrolment to check by "term").

Check your enrolment

Check Your Personal Details

Ensure your personal details on Student Connect are correct. (Go to Personal Details and amend if required).

Check Your Fees

Check your fee balance on Student Connect. If you owe fees ensure that they are paid by the due date or your enrolment could be cancelled.

Ensure you complete and lodge the relevant government forms – such as HECS-HELP or FEE-HELP forms by the due date or your enrolment could be cancelled.

Timetables

If you are studying on-campus check your timetable at the Class Timetables page.

Tutorials

Submit preferences for your tutorials, practical and lab classes via Tutorial Direct. Please note the Tutorial Direct Timelines on the webpage.

Important Dates

Access the 2011 Important Dates. These provide important dates such as the start of the semester, exam periods and Census Dates.
If you do not have a valid Time Ticket or experience difficulty with Student Connect, please contact your local Student Centre for help.

Your enrolment, your responsibility.

Enrolment is your responsibility. Please check Student Connect to ensure your enrolment is correct and up-to-date.

Communication from the University is sent by email. You must ensure you access your ACU Student Email Account regularly.

An ACU Student Email Address is automatically generated overnight following an offer being made and remains current until Award Conferred status is processed or a student withdraws from a course.

Student Connect

Student Connect is a web-based self-service facility for you to enrol and vary your enrolment, provide and update personal details, access results, view online invoices and pay your fees:

Your local student centre is the first point of contact for all enquiries related to your current enrolment, as well as all student administration matters including admissions, your ACU Card, fees, examinations, timetabling and graduations.

Student Email Account

Important information related to your enrolment, fees, results etc is frequently sent to your ACU student email account and it is your responsibility to regularly check this account.

eLearning

Starting Semester 1, 2012, the online learning environment at ACU is LEO.

LEO provides online access to:

  • your units
  • subject content
  • individual or group activities
  • assignments and quizzes
  • lecturers, tutors and other students

LEO can be accessed on-campus or off-campus via any computer that has internet access and a compatible web browser. Most other web-enabled devices, like phones or tablets, should also work with LEO.

To access LEO go the ACU homepage and select LEO (Learning Environment) under the Quick Access (for students) dropdown, or go directly to http://leo.acu.edu.au.
