Scholarship opportunities
Education graduate Frances Taylor’s travelling scholarship took her to Malaysia recently, where she attended the 14th International Conference on Thinking in Kuala Lumpur.
The long standing international conference, inspired by leading thinker Dr Edward de Bono, explored the theme Thinking Minds: nurturing the design of a better future.
Frances, who teaches at Corpus Christi Catholic School, St Ives, was awarded the Bob and Margaret Frater Travelling Scholarship for her leadership and commitment to the continuing development and enhancement of the school system.
Frances said it was a humbling experience to have received the Scholarship.
“The opportunity to attend the Conference and learn from world renowned educational leaders has been a privilege,” said Frances. “I have been able to share my learning with teachers and leaders within the Diocese of Broken Bay and beyond.”
“It has been inspiring to see the information shared with others and utilised in individual classrooms,” she said.
