Visiting Professor Richard French
Professor Richard French, from the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, University of Ottawa, will be a Visiting Fellow at the Public Policy Institute, Australian Catholic University, from the 26th May until the 23rd June. Professor French is a highly regarded scholar, author of How Ottawa Decides, holds a PhD from Oxford, has been Minister for Communications in Canada, a senior public servant and worked in the corporate world. He will be here researching for his latest book – How Ministers Think – Political Judgment and the Search for Policy Based on Reason. He will also be meeting with a number of current and former federal and state ministers and Prime Ministers.
Professor French’s visit is also being supported by the Institute of Public Administration (Qld); ANU – HC Coombs Policy Forum; and the Australian and New Zealand School of Government (Sydney University) with Professor Geoff Gallop.

In Brisbane he will be speaking at the Institute of Public Administration (Qld) at a breakfast seminar on the 12th June and an after work networking drinks function on the 14th June. For more information please download the flyer here (PDF, 246KB).
