School of Exercise Science

The School of Exercise Science at the Australian Catholic University (ACU) is part of the Faculty of Health Sciences. The School comprises staff and students across three campuses – Melbourne, Sydney (Strathfield), and Brisbane – in three states. The School offers a range of dynamic and exciting programs in Exercise Science at undergraduate level [(i) Bachelor of Exercise & Sports Science, (ii) Bachelor of Exercise & Health Science, and (iii) Bachelor of High Performance (Sport & Business)], at the postgraduate level [Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology], as well as Honours, Masters, and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) research degrees.
The staff team includes researchers, lecturers and clinical supervisors who educate students and conduct research in the breadth of Exercise Science, ranging from sports science, elite athlete preparation, sports coaching, PE teaching, exercise and health, recreation leadership, sport management, to the clinical applications of exercise with healthy, chronic disease, and injured populations. In addition, staff and students of the School are committed to the ongoing development of unique programs applying sport and exercise as a vehicle for community development (e.g. Community Engagement camps in East Timor).
