Partnering with Parents, Families and Carers
On 21 July, NSW Minister for Education, the Hon. Verity Firth announced the release of $163,500 funding for the launch of the project “Partnering with Parents, Families and Carers”. Dr Sue Saltmarsh, Associate Professor of Educational Studies has been commissioned to lead the project by the joint forum of the NSW Parents Council, Council of Catholic School Parents and the Federation of Parents and Citizens’ Association of NSW.
The project will focus on researching and developing resources to support preservice teacher education as well as enhance teacher professional development with the aim to support teachers building and maintaining strong links within their school communities.
