Theology and Philosophy
From Semester 2, 2016, students in Religious Education 2 will have an opportunity to participate in the Enhancing Catholic School Identity (ECSI) research project through linking to a web-module designed and created by Katholieke Universiteit (KU) Leuven, Belgium. The module also offers further resources to enhance student understanding of the theological foundations of this important new development in Catholic education. Graduates applying for employment within Catholic schools will be able to show their completion of an ECSI portfolio.
Two new postgraduate units (Enhancing Catholic Identity: Introducing the Leuven Project and Recontextualisation: The Challenge for Authentic Transformation) have been designed in collaboration with Professor Dr Didier Pollefeyt, Center for Academic Teacher Training of the Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies, KU Leuven, to promote a deep theological understanding of the ECSI project.
Ongoing professional learning for leaders, teachers and other professional staff within Catholic Schools is also available.
The units are delivered by Faculty of Theology and Philosophy staff, in collaboration with members of KU Leuven, Belgium.
