Unit taught by Orm Rush, Frank Moloney SDB, Gerald O'Collins SJ
14-18 January 2013
The Second Vatican Council was the most significant event in the Catholic Church in the twentieth century. It met over four years from 1962 to 1965 and produced sixteen documents. At this time when we celebrate the 50 anniversary of this great event and its teaching, this unit examines the vision of Vatican II through an analysis of the historical event and of the sixteen documents it promulgated, by employing appropriate hermeneutical principles for their interpretation.
