Unit prerequisites

To complete THCT606 you should normally have completed THCT605 OR the Leuven (Enhancing Catholic School Identity) Study Tour organised through Catholic Education in Victoria, Queensland, or South Australia.

It is also important that you have a record of formal studies in theology, equivalent to at least introductory theology and introductory biblical studies. You will find it more helpful to have had further study in theology at Master’s level. It is possible for you to undertake other ACU units in summer or semester 1 to enhance your skill level prior to attendance in Rome, including a supervised unit arrangement with Associate Professor Robyn Horner.

Auditors are welcome, but should have a record of formal studies in theology.

Teaching staff

ACU is delighted to offer a rare opportunity for face-to-face engagement with international leaders in the ECSI Project:

  • Professor Didier Pollefeyt (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven)
  • Professor Lieven Boeve (Director General, Flemish Secretary for Catholic Education)
  • Drs Jan Bouwens (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven)
  • Associate Professor Robyn Horner (Australian Catholic University)
