THCT606 Recontextualisation: The Challenge for Authentic Transformation
|What you can expect|
This study tour will comprise a mix of seminars held at the ACU Rome Centre and excursions. See the 2017 study program.
Associate Professor Robyn Horner's areas of research relate to the theological foundations of the KU Leuven Enhancing Catholic Identity Project, and the intersections between fundamental theology, poststructuralism, and phenomenology. Read the full biography.
To complete THCT606 you should normally have completed THCT605: Enhancing Catholic Identity: Introducing the Leuven Project OR the Leuven (Enhancing Catholic School Identity) Study Tour organised through Catholic Education in Victoria, Queensland, or South Australia.
It is also important that you have a record of formal studies in theology, equivalent to at least introductory theology and introductory biblical studies. You will find it more helpful to have had further study in theology at Master’s level. It is possible for you to undertake other ACU units in summer or semester one to enhance your skill level prior to attendance in Rome, including a supervised unit arrangement with Associate Professor Robyn Horner.
Auditors are welcome, but should have a record of formal studies in theology.
|Enrolment and credit points|
Please contact your Course Coordinator for advice about enrolling in this unit. When you enrol through Student Connect, you will pay the 2018 unit fee for THCT606. Auditors should contact the Faculty of Theology and Philosophy for the 2018 fee.
ACU students may be eligible for financial assistance to support the cost of travel and incidentals. Read more about available financial support on the ACU student portal (please note, you will need an ACU student login to access this information).
For more details about this study tour, please contact the tour leader Associate Professor Robyn Horner.
