This study tour is available to ACU students enrolled in the following programs:
Master of Theological Studies
Master of Professional Studies in Theology
Bachelor of Theology
Bachelor of Theology/Bachelor of Philosophy
Students in other ACU programs:
Students enrolled in other ACU programs may be eligible to take this study tour for course credit.
ACU students should consult your course rules or course coordinator for information regarding eligibility, enrolment and credit points.
Cross-institutional students and audit participation:
Interested students from other institutions may be eligible to participate, and there are also limited places available for members of the public who wish to participate in the unit in an audit capacity. Please contact the tour leader directly if you are interested in taking part as a cross-institutional student or as an audit participant.
Enrolment and credit points
Students studying the Master of Theological Studies or Master of Professional Studies in Theology will need to enrol in THBS600 (representing 20cp).
Students studying the Bachelor of Theology or Bachelor of Theology/Bachelor of Philosophy will need to enrol in both THBS300 and THBS301 (representing 20cp).
Students enrolled in other ACU programs should consult their course rules or course coordinator for further information about enrolment and credit points.
Study tour costs
Tour cost, including accommodation and incidentals (meals, airfares, airport transfers, scheduled group excursions/site visits), is approximately $6,900. Unit fees are also applicable upon enrolment. Please be aware that prices may fluctuate depending on the strength of the Australian dollar.
ACU students may be eligible for financial assistance to support the cost of travel and incidentals. Read more about available financial support on the ACU student portal (please note, you will need an ACU student login to access this information).
Meals, travel (including airfares and airport transfers) and accommodation will be organised as part of your participation in this study tour.
Arrival and departure dates You will depart Australia for Rome on Saturday 16 June, and will leave Rome to return to Australia on Sunday 1 July.
Accommodation and classes During your time in Rome, your accommodation and classes will be based at the ACU Rome Campus, Via Garibaldi, 28 – 00153 Rome.
Other travel arrangements If you wish to undertake personal travel, before or after this study tour, you may take advantage of the arrangements made by our travel agent. Please consult with your study tour leader in the first instance.
