Inaugural graduates from the Thomas More Law School's first Sydney cohort
The Thomas More Law School held an evening cocktail party in North Sydney on Tuesday, 3 October to celebrate the inaugural law graduates from its first Sydney cohort. The focus of the evening was to acknowledge the dedicated hard work and achievement of the students and thank those in the legal profession and wider community who have contributed greatly to the Law School’s success.
David Orr, an Aboriginal man and very first graduate of the Law School in May 2017 delivered the Acknowledgement of Country. Speakers included the Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Greg Craven AO, GCSG, Dean of the Law School, Professor Rocque Reynolds and Deputy Head of the Law School, Catherine Renshaw. A Student Vote of Thanks was delivered by Rebecca Crofts, President of the Mackillop Law Students’ Society.
The students who will be finishing their degrees by the end of this year were personally presented with a special gift by the Vice-Chancellor.
