Law and Business

Brand New Publications

We are very proud to announce two brand new publications from one of our very own staff members. Our Deputy Head of School in Melbourne - Professor Tony Ciro is the co-author of two new books. Both books are now available from campus or in speciality bookstores.

  • Understanding Taxation Law 2013. View

A clear and engaging introduction to Australia’s tax system.  This is an annual taxation law text for business, accounting and law students focussing on the fundamental concepts of taxation law while using a pedagogical structure to assist learning.  A great feature of the text is the access students have to research sources and solutions to identified questions in the text.

  • Corporations Law: In Principle 9th Ed. View

This is one of the easiest to understand texts on corporate law in Australia.  There have been many significant developments in both legislation and case law as a result of events such as the Global Financial Crisis and a range of government reviews and administration changes since the last edition.  This edition incorporates commentary on topics such as the national implementation of the Business Names Register, the Personal Property Securities Reform, the new Corporations Amendment Act 2012, Margin Lending Reforms and more.
