Student undertaking Masters research with the Cognition and Emotion Research Centre use experimental psychology approaches within the fields of cognitive science and neuropsychology, often comparing young and older adults or clinical and control groups.

Current research includes the assessing the influence of typical aging on social judgement, cognitive disorders in chronic heart failure patients, emotional empathy and foresight in children with autism, financial decision-making in older adults and emotional processing in young adults who have suffered trauma.
