Students undertaking Honours research with the Cognition and Emotion Research Centre use experimental psychology approaches within the fields of cognitive science and neuropsychology, often comparing young and older adults or clinical and control groups.

Current research includes examining the effects of transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) on prospective memory in young people and older adults, how tDCS can affect social cognition in people with schizotypy traits, working to increase prospective memory in older adults and those with chronic heart failure, social perception and deception detection, cognitive testing related to verbosity and further validity testing of the Virtual Week assessment tool.
