Health Sciences

In 1998, ACU established the Master of Psychology degree, and along with it, the Melbourne Psychology and Counselling Clinic. The Clinic offers a high standard of service to the community at a low cost, meeting the need for affordable mental health care. The clinic is staffed by postgraduate interns who are undertaking a postgraduate qualification in psychology. All clinic services are overseen by registered psychologists who are skilled clinicians and trainers. Treatment procedures are chosen on the basis of clinical judgement and expertise as well as current research evidence.

Under the expert supervision of Clinic Director Dr Katie Bunch, MPACC provides a wide range of services,  including Adult and Child Therapy, Psychometric Testing and Clinical Assessments. Our Clinic welcomes people from all walks of life and of all cultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds. We assist children and parents, adolescents, adults, couples and families. Whilst we welcome referrals from schools and medical professionals, a referral to our service is not required and clients are encouraged to contact us directly.
