Overview

Students will spend their two-week Third Year Speciality Elective placement at our partner university, the University of Miami at Coral Gables, Florida in the United States of America.

The ACU students will have 15 days of clinical placement facilitated by the University of Miami at the University of Miami Hospital (UMH) and Jackson Memorial Hospital (Jackson Health System – JHS). There are 40 clinical/simulation facilitation hours per week, with a total of 2 theory and 78 clinical education hours.

ACU established a partnership with the University of Miami in 2010. ACU has received approximately 10 students per year for the last four years from the University of Miami. Over this time ACU and the University of Miami have continued to strengthen their relationship to now include ACU hosting research students in 2015 and a reciprocal study tour of ACU students visiting Miami.
