About the clinics

The Australian Catholic University (ACU) Health Clinic - Banyo, was established in 2013. The Clinic operates out of a brand new purpose built facility that was funded and partly equipped by a grant from Health Workforce Australia. The Clinic offers Physiotherapy Assessment and Management to the general community at a low cost.

The Student Led Physiotherapy service is provided by 4th year Physiotherapy Students from the Bachelor of Physiotherapy program. The students are supervised by registered Physiotherapists who are employed by the School of Physiotherapy.

All Clinic services are overseen by registered Physiotherapists who are skilled clinicians and clinical educators in a wide variety of clinical interventions and management approaches. Treatment procedures are chosen on the basis of clinical judgement and expertise as well as current research evidence.

Assistance to clients may take the form of:

  • identification and clarification of client's concerns
  • assessment
  • management
  • evaluation
  • home program development
  • consultancy
  • liaison with other allied health and medical practitioners
