Current students will be eligible to apply if they:
- have a cumulative GPA of 4.5+
- have completed one year of full time study at ACU (usually eight units); and
- are applying to study units that are included in the program map for their degree.
What is included in the program?
The program fees include:
- shared accommodation at the Rome Centre
- meal plan (breakfast, lunch and dinner from Monday to Friday)
- airport transfer (optional - only available if you arrive in Rome on the day your accommodation starts at the Rome Centre)
Program fees DO NOT include the return airfare to Italy, ACU HECS/tuition or additional travel.
Please note: Prices are subject to fluctuation according to student numbers and international exchange rates.
Is there financial support available?
Yes. Program participants are usually eligible to receive the ACU Vice-Chancellor’s Travel Grant of $500 to assist the students with the cost of their economy airfare.
Please note: students can only apply for one Vice-Chancellor’s travel grant throughout their course.
Eligible students may also apply for an OS-Help Loan up to AUD$6,470 to support the cost of travel and incidentals.

What is the accommodation?
Students will stay in shared accommodation at the Rome Centre.
The accommodation is located in the Janiculum Hill area of Rome, just above the ancient Roman neighbourhood of Trastevere, not far from the Vatican and is located on the same property where the classes are held.
The accommodation includes a chapel, garden and other amenities for the students.
A meal plan of breakfast, lunch and dinner from Monday to Friday is included in your package.
When will I know if I have been selected?
The Faculty of Health Sciences will advise you of your application outcome by email within two weeks of the application deadline.
If you have been accepted into the program, you will be asked to confirm your acceptance and pay a nonrefundable deposit of AUD $500 to secure your place in the program (payment options to be confirmed).
The Faculty of Health Sciences will host mandatory pre-departure sessions for participating students in November-December 2016.
