The brand new Bachelor of High Performance Sport will be introduced in Semester 1 2019.
The bachelor degree is a minimum of 2.5 years full-time and available at ACU's Brisbane, Melbourne and Strathfield campuses.
At the heart of high performance sport is the conditioning of the athlete, with the aim of optimising individual and team performance, and keeping them at the top of their game. You will gain skills in sports performance and analysis, exercise programming, and strength and conditioning of athletes. You’ll learn to design and deliver programs that enhance athletic performance and reduce the likelihood of injury and illness.
Prerequisites: NSW: English (any) – minimum band 3. Qld: English (4,SA). Vic: a study score of at least 30 in English (ESL) or 25 in any other English, plus a study score of at least 25 in one of mathematics (any), biology, chemistry, psychology, physical education or physics.
Professional experience: 200 hours, starting in second year.
Accreditation: This is a new program, and is in the process of gaining accreditation.
