Students will gain knowledge and appropriate skills in screening, assessment, and provision of exercise intervention in multiple applications across the lifespan, including prevention and management of chronic disease(s), workplace conditioning, and sport.
The course prepares graduates to enter the job market as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP)
AEPs work across the lifespan of client needs in any environment that requires an allied health professional who can prescribe effective exercise prescription for the management of complex chronic conditions and prevent injury and disease and promote healthy lifestyle factors, such as:
hospital or community health environments
a sport rehabilitation setting
From 2014-2018, any graduate of our Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology degree at the Strathfield or Melbourne campus can apply to ESSA to become an accredited Exercise Physiologist. This degree is currently undergoing the ESSA re-accreditation process for graduates in the program from 2019-2023 at the Brisbane, Strathfield and Melbourne campuses.
To achieve the Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology you must complete 120 credit points (CP) from the schedule of unit offerings.
