Matti is team leader and deputy director at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS). Matti is working hard to set a new standard for mental health awareness in sport by breaking down barriers at every level of management and high performance. She leads an AIS wellbeing and engagement team to focus on preparing athletes for life after sport.
Previously Matti worked as the director of Mental Edge Consulting, an organisation that specialises in team and organizational culture, wellbeing, performance enhancement, professional development services and support systems for high performance sporting organizations. Matti has worked on several large-scale projects including the development and delivery of a national wellbeing and professional development curriculum for the Australian Cricketers Association and the development of online curriculum content for the AIS Personal Excellence National Programs and Talent Pathway Programs. Other previous clients include the AFL Players Association, Cricket Australia, Sailing Australia, Golf Australia, AFL, Netball Australia, Collingwood FC, NRL, Professional Footballers Association, and many state sporting organizations around the country.
Over the last few years she has also worked with the St Kilda Football Club as the General Manager of People and Culture, a Senior Performance Psychologist at the Australian Institute of Sport and National Wellbeing Manager for the AFL Players Association.
