Vice-Chancellor Professor Greg Craven and St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne Chief Executive Officer, Adjunct Professor Susan O’Neill officially opened ACU/St Vincent’s Medical Centre, with a blessing conducted by the Most Reverend Denis Hart DD, Archbishop of Melbourne at ACU Melbourne campus on Wednesday 6 April 2016.

The ACU/St Vincent’s Medical Centre is operated in partnership with St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, the first time medical services on an ACU campus to be provided by an external health provider.

The Centre opened its doors to students, staff and the public in September 2015. It offers standard GP consultations including general check-ups, pre-placement immunisation advice particularly for our health sciences students, travel vaccination information and prescriptions.

Executive Dean, Faculty of Health of Health Sciences, Professor Michelle Campbell said the establishment of the Centre deepens the already strong relationship ACU has with St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne.

“St Vincent’s Hospital is one of our best and strongest partners in Melbourne. It is our hope that this partnership and collaboration will reinforce our shared mission in the provision of health care and clinical practice.”
